Trump is tired of the misinformation surrounding the deal…
President Trump said Tuesday that Americans will get a detailed look at the forthcoming peace agreement with Iran once it is formally signed later this week.
Speaking on the sidelines of the G7 summit, Trump said he intends to make the text of the agreement public and may personally walk reporters through the document.
“I’ll probably have a press conference and read it word by word,” the president said.
Trump indicated he wants to wait until the deal is officially finalized before releasing its contents.
“I’d like to get a formal signature first,” he said.
The agreement is expected to be signed on Friday in Switzerland, where U.S. and Iranian officials are set to formally conclude months of negotiations aimed at ending the conflict and addressing concerns surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.
The president said he plans to review the document with reporters shortly after the signing ceremony.
“I’ll go over the document with the media in a couple of days,” Trump added.
