While thousands of Americans packed the White House grounds Sunday night for UFC Freedom 250, critics of President Donald Trump staged competing protests and online counterprogramming during the America 250 celebration.
The historic UFC event, held on the White House South Lawn, featured major fights, patriotic displays, and a headline championship bout as part of festivities surrounding the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Meanwhile, critics promoted anti-Trump demonstrations and protest messaging online, including some truly cringey stuff from Bette Midler, Robert De Niro, and failed MS Now host Joy Reid.
