ROAD RAGE: Street Blockade Busted Up By MPD After Anti-ICE Protesters Assault Reporter [WATCH]

Minneapolis officials cleared a makeshift “filter blockade” on Cedar Avenue Monday after it had remained in place into a second day — and after Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Jorge Ventura was harassed and shoved nearby while investigating the scene.

Video posted online showed traffic cones and debris being used to redirect cars and deter suspected ICE vehicles; a separate clip showed officers earlier warning demonstrators the obstruction could block emergency access.

The Minneapolis Police Department said Public Works — with MPD assistance — removed “debris and homemade roadblocks,” citing safety concerns on a “high-traffic and high-speed block” of Cedar Avenue. A city spokesperson said the street was cleared to protect neighborhoods and ensure emergency vehicles could get through.

Ventura’s encounter drew wider attention after footage circulated showing masked individuals confronting him; Daily Caller reported he was shoved into a car while filming.

After the cleanup, the account promoting the blockade encouraged supporters to set up more, arguing the tactic is “cheap to set up” and works only if organizers “keep building momentum [with] more blockades.”
