'PROBABLY HAD HERSELF SPRAYED': Trump Skeptical About Syringe Attack on Ilhan Omar [WATCH]

President Donald Trump derided Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) as a “fraud” Tuesday night, suggesting she staged an assault in which she was sprayed with an unknown substance during a Minneapolis town hall.

“I don’t think about her. I think she’s a fraud,” Trump told ABC News when asked if he had seen video of the incident. “She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her.

“I haven’t seen it. No, no. I hope I don’t have to bother,” he added.

The comments came hours after a man rushed Omar near the end of her event in North Minneapolis and sprayed a brown liquid from a syringe-like device, prompting security to tackle and detain him.

Authorities identified the suspect as 55-year-old Anthony Kazmierczak, who was arrested at the scene and booked into Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of third-degree assault; officials said forensic personnel responded as the substance was treated as unknown.

A court date was not immediately listed in initial reports.

Video and witness accounts described a foul or strong odor, while Omar refused staff suggestions to seek medical attention and kept the town hall moving.

The incident unfolded amid heightened tensions in Minnesota over federal immigration enforcement, with Omar using the event to criticize Immigration and Customs Enforcement and call for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s resignation.
