Jeffries’ “magic minute” is a big, beautiful snoozefest.
During House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ long-winded “magic minute” performance — a floor speech meant to stall a BBB vote — one moment stole the show; but it came not from the podium, but two rows back.
Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), 79 years old and visibly weary, was seen drifting into sleep as the cameras rolled. Democrats, realizing the optics, quietly ushered her out of frame.
It was meant to be a show of resistance; instead, it appeared to be a surrender to fatigue.
