DNC Vice Chair David Hogg and former RNC Chair Reince Priebus got into a heated exchange over the weekend while discussing Hogg’s efforts to primary sitting Democratic lawmakers and President Trump’s deportation efforts.
Priebus, who served as RNC chairman from 2011 until 2017, said he would have Hogg “removed from the party” if he were in charge of the DNC.
“It’s $20 million out of the DNC’s pocket. You can’t be on the board of the fishing and forest company and on Greenpeace at the same time,” Priebus said.
“The Democrats are a complete mess. They have no movement… They have no message… They have no leader. It doesn’t get any worse than that. You’re defending Harvard, you’re traveling to El Salvador to defend MS-13 gang members,” Priebus said.
Hogg jumped in to mix it up with Priebus.
“This was not an MS-13 gang member, and you damn well know that,” Hogg replied. “The administration admitted this was wrong. In America, we have due process. We are a land of law and order, and this administration is repeatedly showing time and time again they do not care about what the Supreme Court says. They do not care about the rule of law, and you cannot defend sending people to another country where they don’t have rights.”

Hogg is quickly making enemies within his own party — including Democratic strategist James Carville, who recently called Hogg a “contemptible little twerp.”
“Why doesn’t somebody sue David Hogg? He’s an officer of the Democratic National Committee. He is the vice chairman of the Democrat National Committee, and he’s running against other Democrats. I would like to know, and you went to law school, does he have a fiduciary duty to Democrats?” Carville asked.
“If I work for, if you work for NewsNation, you can’t promote CNN. That’s if you worked for somebody else,” Carville continued. “You have a fiduciary duty to your employer, which anybody can understand. He’s being paid to run against other Democrats. I think it’s an outrage. I don’t know if I have standing, but I might give the DNC $10 and sue him. He is a contemptible little twerp, if you ask me.”
