Republicans are rallying around former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in the wake of the latest indictment against the former POTUS for charges stemming from a Jan. 6 probe.
“When you drain The Swamp, The Swamp fights back. President Trump did nothing wrong!” House Judiciary chair Jim Jordan said on X.

President Trump did nothing wrong!

Ardent Trump supporter Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) lashed out at special counsel Jack Smith.
“Jack Smith and his indictment will forever go down in history as a total disgrace to the United States of America. President Trump defended our democracy, and we have an obligation to defend him against the Deep State’s crusade to destroy our movement.”

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also went after Smith, calling him a terrible attorney and threatening to defund his efforts to target Donald Trump.
“Jack Smith is a terrible attorney with a lot of failures in his career. Now, he’s abusing his power, the power of the special counsel, and the power of the Department of Injustice. I will not fund Jack Smith’s special counsel and I will use the Holman Rule to defund his office. President Trump is innocent and we must end the witch hunts!”
