Uh, Pete —I don’t think your 8 years as mayor of a small town is going to save you this time —or any time!
During a recent appearance on ABC News’ Good Morning America, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg relied on one of his classic lines to dodge a question from George Stephanopoulos.
“The administration has come under some fire from the Mayor of East Palestine who said it took nearly two weeks for the White House to contact him…what’s your response to that and when are you planning to go to East Palestine?”
“When I go, the focus is going to be on action. Look, I was mayor of my hometown for eight years. We dealt with a lot of natural disasters.”
Doesn’t sound like a firm date from Mr. Buttigieg.
Pete was blasted by RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel who reminded her Twitter followers that Buttigieg wasn’t even a good mayor.
“Buttigieg couldn’t even fix potholes as mayor. He was a failed mayor and is a disaster as Transportation Secretary. He should resign.”
