Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand weighed-in Wednesday on the upcoming ‘Infrastructure’ bill making its way through Congress; asserting that things like “paid leave, child care, and caregiving” should be part of the package.
“Paid leave is infrastructure. Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure,” posted Gillibrand on Twitter.

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the proposal doesn’t go far enough; saying the actual amount should be closer to $10 trillion over the next decade.
“The vision that President Biden and the administration has laid out … has surprised a lot of us in a positive way and in the detail and the thought that’s here, the scope of it, is really encouraging,” the Congresswoman told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
She went on to say the figure should be roughly five times higher than Biden’s proposal.

“I know that may be an eye-popping figure for some people, but we need to understand that we are in a devastating economic moment. Millions of people in the United States are unemployed. We have a truly crippled health care system and a planetary crisis on our hands, and we’re the wealthiest nation in the history of the world. So we can do $10 trillion,” she told Maddow.
And here is the part where Rep. Ocasio-Cortez mentions the 10 trillion number that caught @Lawrence 's attention.

GILLIBRAND GOES OFF: NY Senator Slams Trump for ‘NOT ACKNOWLEDGING’ Her Hard Work
Ultra-liberal New York Senator and potential 2020 challenger Kirsten Gillibrand unloaded on President Trump this week; slamming the Commander-in-Chief after he questioned her ability to “get things done” in Congress during a fiery speech.
The President called out Gillibrand during a televised address in Utica, New York Monday; asking the crowd “Has she gotten anything done?”
Gillibrand fired-back on social media just hours later, saying “The President refuses to acknowledge the work I’ve gotten done. Sound familiar, ladies?”

GILLIBRAND: Access to ‘Social Security’ is a ‘Right’ for Every Illegal Immigrant in the US
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand left millions of Americans scratching their heads during a campaign stop this week; calling social security a “right” for all illegal immigrants “in this country now.”
Gillibrand was speaking with supporters on the campaign trail when she pushed her calls for a “comprehensive immigration reform” package that includes access to social security and a pathway to citizenship.
“What will I do? I have a lot of ideas. First, we need comprehensive immigration reform. If you are in this country now, you must have the right to pay into social security, to pay your taxes, to pay into the local school system, and to have a pathway to citizenship. That must happen,” said Gillibrand to widespread applause.
