‘LIKE THE BAD OLD DAYS’: 17 People Shot in NYC Monday in All Five Boroughs

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.14.20

At least 17 people were shot across New York City Monday as local officials continue to defund the NYPD by at least $1 billion; raising serious questions over safety and security in the Big Apple.

“Those numbers would be high for a Friday or Saturday, but for a Monday they are astronomical,” said one high-ranking Brooklyn cop.

“Seven of those shot in Brooklyn, including a 20-year-old man who was fatally blasted, were hit in five separate incidents in the borough’s 69th Precinct, which covers the Canarsie neighborhood, according to police and sources,” reports Fox News.

While crime spirals out of control, Mayor Bill de Blasio seems more focused on his ‘Black Lives Matter’ mural in front of Trump Tower.

To whoever vandalized our mural on 5th Avenue: nice try. @NYC_DOT has already fixed it.

CHOP NYC? Protesters Camp Out in Front of City Hall, Demand $1 BILLION in Cuts to NYPD

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.25.20

Protesters camped-out for 48-hours in front of New York’s City Hall Thursday; demanding $1 billion in funding cuts for the NYPD as demonstrators demand “police reform” across the United States.

“Protesters in New York City spent a second straight night camped out in front of City Hall to demand a $1 billion cut to the police department’s budget. The group of about 100 protesters, calling themselves ‘Occupy City Hall,’ gathered at a nearby park around 5 p.m. Tuesday and haven’t left. They have vowed to stay until their demand to slash one-sixth of the New York Police Department’s $6 billion budget is met,” reports Fox News.

“Mayor (Bill) de Blasio has thus far rejected this demand, which is unconscionable,” VOCAL-NY, the group organizing the protest, said in a written statement. “We have questions about City Council promises to support our demands, because we have not seen their plan outside of a vague press release. We view this lack of transparency and specific public commitments as a red flag.”

“Strong communities make safe communities, and police don’t, and so that’s what we’re fighting for,” he said.

DOCTOR DE BLASIO: NYC Mayor Says CoVID-19 ‘DOES Discriminate Because Our Nation Discriminates’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.15.20

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio left millions of users scratching their heads on social media Thursday; bizarrely asserting the CoVID-19 virus “discriminates” based on race.

“This virus DOES discriminate — because our nation discriminates. We may be beginning to restart but we’re not repeating a broken status quo,” posted de Blasio on Twitter.

Bill de Blasio caved to mounting pressure from the ‘Black Lives Matters’ movement and other protesters Sunday; saying he plans to “move resources from the NYPD” to “youth and social services.”

“This morning we committed to move resources from the NYPD to youth and social services as part of our City’s budget. Our young people need to be reached, not policed. We can do this AND keep our city safe,” posted de Blasio on social media.

“Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday pledged for the first time to cut the city’s police funding, following 10 nights of mass protests against police violence and mounting demands that he overhaul a department whose tactics have caused widespread consternation,” reports the New York Times.
