President Donald Trump is trading the Cabinet Room for the Maryland mountains.
Trump and his top officials will head to Camp David on Friday for the 13th Cabinet meeting of his second term. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt promised a change of scenery and, apparently, a good time.
The meeting “will be a lot of fun and something different for the Cabinet to experience together,” Leavitt told reporters last week.
It will be Trump’s first Cabinet meeting at Camp David since returning to office. The White House planned a similar gathering in May, but bad weather forced officials to scrap it.
Trump held at least one Cabinet meeting there during his first administration.
The White House hasn’t released a detailed agenda for Friday’s gathering. Trump’s Cabinet meetings typically include reports from department and agency heads, followed by questions from reporters.
Scheduled start time is 11am EST.
