Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance welcomed their fourth child Sunday, announcing the arrival of a baby boy named Alec Neel Vance.
“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post.
The Vances said both mother and child were doing well and that Alec’s three older siblings were eager to welcome the newest addition to the family.
“Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” they wrote.
President Trump joined the celebration Monday morning, posting a photograph of the newborn and offering his congratulations to the vice president and second lady.
“Congratulations! A perfect baby boy for the wonderful Vance family,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.

The Vances also used the announcement to thank the medical teams who cared for Usha and Alec, singling out personnel at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit.
“The incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit have been a blessing,” the couple said. “We are deeply thankful for all they have done for our family.”
