California Gov. Gavin Newsom is facing ridicule after complaining that mainstream media outlets have treated him unfairly and that Democrats don’t have the media on their side — a claim critics say ignores years of largely sympathetic coverage from many national news organizations.
Newsom name-checked The Daily Wire, The New York Post, The California Post, Fox & Friends, Chris Rufo of the Manhattan Institute, and more in the bizarre rant.
“It’s this circular ecosystem — a sewer that has the presidential seal,” Newsom claimed. “With respect, I don’t see that on MSNBC — I sure as hell don’t see it on CNN,” Newsom said.
