Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin continues to clean house when it comes to CRT and divisive education practices; he’s even set up a tip line for concerned parents to report teachers.
“We have set up an…email address for parents to send us any instances where they feel that their fundamental rights are being violated, where their children are not being respected, where there are inherently divisive practices in their schools,” Youngkin said on the John Fredericks Show. “We’re asking for input right from parents to make sure we can go right to the source as we continue to work to make sure that Virginia’s education system is on the path to reestablish excellence.”
“At the end of the day, we are going to raise standards. We are going to have the largest education budget in the history of Virginia; we are going to raise teacher pay; we are going to invest in facilities; we are going to invest in special education for kids with disabilities; we’re going to get Critical Race Theory and other divisive teaching practices out of the schools, and we’re going to press forward on our charter school agenda big-time. This is what I ran on and this is what we are going to work every day to make happen.”
“We’re asking for folks to send us reports and observations that they have that will help us be aware of things like ‘privileged bingo,’ be aware of their child being denied their rights that parents have in Virginia, and we’re going to make sure that we catalog it all. And that gives us a greater insight into what’s happening at the school level and that gives us further, further ability to make sure we’re rooting it out.”
