WOMEN’S MARCH PROTESTERS: ‘GOP is a Hell of a Lot More Dangerous Than the Taliban’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.05.21

A group of protesters at the Women’s March ripped Republican lawmakers this week; claiming GOP legislators are more “dangerous” than the Taliban in Afghanistan.

“Who would you say is more dangerous, the Taliban or Texas Republicans?” asked a reporter with the Daily Caller.

“GOP is a hell of a lot more dangerous than the Taliban,” said one protester.

“Right now the Texas Republicans are right up there with them!” claimed another.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a pro-life bill earlier this year that effectively banned most abortions are six weeks of pregnancy.

“The heartbeat bill is now LAW in the Lone Star State. This bill ensures the life of every unborn child with a heartbeat will be saved from the ravages of abortion,” posted Abbott on Twitter.

The law went into effect in September.

BREAKING NOW: Gov Abbott Signs Texas Election Bill, Dems Immediately File Lawsuit

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.07.21

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed sweeping legislation Tuesday that will shore-up election security in the Lone Star State, a move that immediately sparked a lawsuit from dissenting Democrats.

“Abbott made the measure his top priority in two special legislative sessions he called over the summer, the first of which ground to a halt when state House Democrats denied majority Republicans a quorum by fleeing to Washington, D.C. The legislature approved the bill last week and Abbott signed the measure in Tyler, accompanied by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) and Sen. Bryan Hughes (R), the lead Senate sponsor of the measure,” reports The Hill.

“Election integrity is now law in the state of Texas,” Abbott said after signing the bill.

“One thing that all Texas can agree and that is that we must have trust and confidence in our elections,” Abbott said Tuesday, adding the bill “ensures that every eligible voter will have the opportunity to vote.”

The legislation prompted some state Democratic representatives to travel to Washington, DC to gain support from progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi.

“Texas provides 12 days of early voting and this law even adds more hours during those early voting days. By comparison, the president’s home state of Delaware provides zero days and zero hours of early voting,” Abbott said. “It ensures that Texas provides even more opportunities for people to engage in the voting process than the president’s home state of Delaware as well as many other states across the entire country.”

DON’T MESS WITH TX: Gov Abbott Tells Biden to ‘Stay Out of the Way’ of Oil Production

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.16.21

Texas Governor Greg Abbott fired-back at President Biden this week after the Commander-in-Chief asked OPEC to expand oil production to lower domestic gas prices; telling the Democrat to simply “stay out of the way.”

“Dear White House: Texas can do this. Our producers can easily produce that oil if your Administration will just stay out of the way. Allow American workers—not OPEC—produce the oil that can reduce the price of gasoline. Don’t make us dependent on foreign sources of energy,” posted Abbott on Twitter.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan released a statement Wednesday urging OPEC to increase production to help lower oil costs; raising even more questions over the Biden administration’s recent regulation’s on America’s energy sector.

“Higher gasoline costs, if left unchecked, risk harming the ongoing global recovery. The price of crude oil has been higher than it was at the end of 2019, before the onset of the pandemic,” writes Sullivan.

“President Biden has made clear that he wants Americans to have access to affordable, reliable energy, including at the pump. Although we are not a party to OPEC, the United States will always speak to international partners regarding issues of significance that affect our national economic and security affairs,” he adds.

The request comes months after the Biden Administration canceled a major American pipeline during his first days in office.

“Longtime oil and gas industry workers David and Kristina Dickerson are criticizing President Joe Biden’s executive order canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline. They say the order, which displaced them from the project, is threatening their economic stability,” reported Fox News in February.

“I feel pretty betrayed,” David, who has worked in the oil and gas industry for 31 years, added.

“We’ve had to actually dip into our retirement and our 401k, just trying to survive until something like this come up,” David said. “We’ve been depending on this to happen and it just all of a sudden got ripped out from under us and we’re not going to be able to do it now.”

“It’s a good thought, but it’s not a well-thought-out plan. They haven’t got it perfect,” David said. “And we’re still dependent on fossil fuel. We’re going to use this crude oil no matter what.”
