View host Whoopi Goldberg says she’s leaving Twitter.

During Monday’s taping of daytime talk show The View, host Whoopi Goldberg announced she would be leaving Twitter in the wake of comedian Kathy Griffin’s suspension from the social media platform; “it’s so messy,” Goldberg says.

She started by going off on Elon Musk.

“He’s already called back some of the workforce he fired a few days ago. He’s putting his $8 charge for blue-check verification on hold. First, it was going to be $20. Now it’s going to be $8,” Goldberg said. “He also suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating him on a parody account.”

She continued, “I mean, I’m getting off. I’m getting off today. Because I just feel like it’s so messy. And I’m tired of now having had certain kinds of attitudes blocked, and now they’re back on.”

“I’m going to get out. And if it settles down and I feel more comfortable, maybe I’ll come back. But as of tonight, I’m done with Twitter,” she added.

As previously reported, Twitter CEO Elon Musk suspended comedian Kathy Griffin from Twitter over the weekend for changing her profile name to “Elon Musk.” Impersonation without specifically citing “parody” is in violation of the blue bird’s user agreement.

“Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended,” he wrote Sunday night.

“Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning. This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue.”
