WHERE WOKE GOES TO DIE! DeSantis Mandates State Universities Report Funds Spent on CRT, DEI

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is continuing his fight against woke institutions.

According to a Fox News report, the Sunshine State governor is mandating all state universities in Florida report funds that relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion and critical race theory initiatives.

DeSantis Press Secretary Bryan Griffin shared the governor’s memorandum on Twitter.

“MEMO: All state university & college systems in Florida have been required to report expenditures and resources utilized for campus activities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion and critical race theory. Stay tuned,” Griffin tweeted.

“[T]his letter is a request for information from the Department of Education and the State University System regarding the expenditure of state resources on programs and initiatives related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and critical race theory within our state colleges and universities,” the letter read.

The memo mandates that state schools provide a “comprehensive list of all staff, programs, and campus activities related to” DEI and CRT.

During his swearing-in ceremony this week, DeSantis doubled down on his commitment to eliminating woke waste in Florida, saying “[t]his bizarre but prevalent ideology that permeates these policy measures purports to act in the name of justice for the marginalized, but it frowns upon American institutions. It rejects merit and achievement, and it advocates identity essentialism. We reject his woke ideology. We seek normalcy, not philosophical lunacy. … We will never surrender to the woke mob; Florida is where woke goes to die.”
