The riots were so bad, in fact, that President Trump authorized the deployment of 4,000 National Guard members and later, 700 Marines to Los Angeles.

“Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes, and unrest,” the president wrote on TRUTH Social at the time.
