GOP Presidential candidate Nikki Haley shredded AOC and her fellow squad mates for boycotting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to Congress. AOC released a statement on Twitter explaining her actions.
“A joint address is among the most prestigious invitations and honors the United States Congress can extend,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “We should not do so for individuals with deeply troubling human rights records — particularly for individuals whom our own State Department has concluded are engaged in systematic human rights abuses of religious minorities and caste-oppressed communities.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib also announced a boycott.
It’s shameful that Modi has been given a platform at our nation’s capital—his long history of human rights abuses, anti-democratic actions, targeting Muslims & religious minorities, and censoring journalists is unacceptable.
I will be boycotting Modi’s joint address to Congress.

And so did Ilhan Omar.
Prime Minister Modi’s government has repressed religious minorities, emboldened violent Hindu nationalist groups, and targeted journalists/human rights advocates with impunity.
I will NOT be attending Modi’s speech.

“AOC and the Squad boycotting India’s democratically elected leader while they side with Palestinian terrorists and socialist dictators is exactly on brand,” Haley told the Washington Examiner on Thursday. “What an embarrassment.”
Haley also shared the comment on Twitter:
