CNN contributor Scott Jennings roasted Kamala Harris on Tuesday after news broke that the Democratic Presidential nominee would be bringing running mate Tim Walz to her much-anticipated first interview.
“I think it’s incredibly weak, weak sauce, to show up with your running mate,” Jennings, a former special assistant to President George W. Bush, told CNN, adding that the move showed a “troubling lack of confidence in her political ability.”
“It makes you wonder as a voter, ‘what kind of president would you be?’” he continued. “I think Republicans are going to think it’s pretty weak to show up effectively with someone who’ll take up half the time.”

The Trump campaign called Kamala Harris incompetent for the joint interview in a post on TRUTH.
“On Thursday — 39 days since being installed as the Democrat nominee — Kamala will sit for her first formal interview* **” the Trump campaign posted on X. “*Joint, since she’s not competent enough to do it on her own. **Taped, so her handlers have time to play damage control.”
Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will sit down with CNN anchor Dana Bash on Thursday.
