Trump brings the heat…
President Trump on Monday vowed to send “billions of dollars” in weapons to Ukraine through NATO allies, and warned Moscow it has 50 days to strike a peace deal or face 100% tariffs.
Trump, meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office, said the U.S. will provide “everything,” including Patriot missiles and a “full complement” of military equipment.
“We are going to be sending them weapons and they’re going to be paying for them,” the president said, with Rutte agreeing that European countries should be “stepping up” and paying for the American-made materiel.
Some Patriot missiles will be getting to Ukraine “within days,” Trump added,
Trump said of the war: “We want to see it end.”
“I’m disappointed in President Putin, because I thought we would have had a deal two months ago, but it doesn’t seem to get there,” Trump told reporters.
