WATCH: Sen. Hirono Defends Activists' ‘Mob’ Tactics Against GOP Leadership

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.08.18

Democratic Senator and outspoken Brett Kavanaugh critic Mazie Hirono defended her party’s tactics against GOP politicians during the judge’s confirmation process over the weekend; saying her supporters are “very much motivated” against the Supreme Court Justice.

Sen. Hirono was speaking with CNN’s Dana Bash Sunday when she was asked to comment on what President Trump described as an “angry mob.”

“It is one thing to protest at the Supreme Court … it’s another thing to run senators out of restaurants, go to their homes. Is that going too far?” Bash asked.

“I think that it just means that there are a lot of people who are very, very much motivated by what is going on, because what happened with Judge Kavanaugh is from the very beginning, this was not a fair process,” she said.

ANTIFA FAIL: DC Restaurant Confirms Cruz Returned After Attack, Finished ‘Exceptional’ Dinner

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.26.18

A spokesperson for the DC-area restaurant where Ted Cruz was confronted by Antifa activists Monday night confirmed the Texas Senator returned minutes after the attack; saying the lawmaker and his wife were able to “finish their exceptional meal” in silence.

The local eatery posted an official statement regarding the confrontation after video of the incident surfaced on social media, saying “Last night, protesters entered Fiola with the apparent purpose of confronting one of our guests.”

“When the situation resolved a few minutes later, our guests returned to thank the staff for their support and to finish their exceptional meal,” added the statement.

Cruz and his wife are the latest example of prominent Republicans to be harassed in public. Earlier this year, Rep. Maxine Waters urged her supporters to confront senior Trump officials and supporters at “gas stations” and “department stores.”

ORRIN UNLEASHED: Sen. Hatch GOES NUCLEAR on Antifa After Cruz Attack

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.25.18

Sen. Orrin Hatch slammed left-wing protesters who forced Sen. Ted Cruz and his wife from a Washington, DC restaurant Monday night; saying the vicious group has officially taken America “over our irony quota for 2018.”

Hatch blasted the Antifa members on social media hours after they posted videos of Cruz being chased from the local eatery; saying “Chasing a Cuban-American Senator you disagree with out of a restaurant while chanting ‘fascists not welcome’ under the banner of ‘smash racism’ might have just taken us over our irony quota for 2018.”

Cruz is the latest prominent Republican to be accosted in public.

The incident comes months after leading Democrats urged their supporters to “confront” senior Trump officials at “restaurants” and “department stores.”
