President Donald Trump arrived in Connecticut on Wednesday morning to deliver the commencement address at the United States Coast Guard Academy, marking his first trip to the state since winning re-election.
Air Force One touched down at Groton-New London Airport shortly before 11 a.m., according to local reports. Trump exited the aircraft moments later before his motorcade departed for the academy campus in New London.
Cadets began filing into the commencement ceremony around 11 a.m. as anticipation built for the president’s remarks to the graduating class.
