President Donald Trump is set to deliver a Department of Defense announcement Tuesday from the Oval Office at 2PM ET, with attention focused on the future location of U.S. Space Command’s headquarters.
Space Command is currently operating out of Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Trump has pushed to relocate the headquarters to Huntsville, Alabama, though former President Joe Biden announced in 2023 that the command would remain in Colorado.
