AG Bondi provides an update…
Attorney General Pam Bondi will speak Friday afternoon following new developments in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case — a flashpoint in the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.
Abrego Garcia, deported in March to El Salvador’s most notorious prison, is now being returned to the U.S. after a Supreme Court order earlier this year. The administration had accused him of MS-13 ties, a claim Abrego Garcia and his wife have firmly denied. He had been living under a protective order in Maryland before the deportation.
The case drew national outrage and political theater. Democratic lawmakers made high-profile trips to El Salvador to visit him, while both President Trump and Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele insisted they lacked the authority to reverse the deportation.
