As prominent Democratic leaders publicly decry the recently passed GOP tax bill as the “end of the world” and “Armageddon,” fans of socialist Senator Bernie Sanders secretly support the legislation, according to filmmaker Ami Horowitz.
Horowitz took to the streets of New York City’s super-liberal neighborhood the East Village to speak with Bernie supporters, and find out their thoughts behind the Republican-led effort to re-structure America’s over-complicated and outdated tax system.
One more thing… they were told the bill was written by Sanders himself.
“Bernie came out with a competing plan,” fibbed Horowitz. “I want to give you some of his points, and see what you think of it.”
The filmmaker proceeded to outline the GOP tax bill, touting key provisions in the legislation that will cut taxes for over 80% of Americans.
“I think that’s a good plan, yeah!” said one individual. “It’s a good thing.”
“I can definitely side with that!” said another.

Jane Sanders STILL UNDER FBI Investigation
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is still digging into Jane Sanders shady land deal, interviewing witnesses in recent weeks and weighing the possibility of convening a grand jury to review the investigation, reports Fox News.
Jane, the wife of Vermont Senator and former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, came under scrutiny earlier this year regarding a land deal she secured while President of Burlington College in 2010.
Sanders secured approximately $10 million in loans by allegedly using false information. The college went out of business a short time later.
“[Sanders] resigned in 2011 amid allegations that she purposely inflated and made up the amount of money donors have pledged to the school and provided incorrect information to a bank to get the loan. Multiple individuals, who were listed as college donors, have since come forward denying the commitments,” write Fox.
The ongoing probe is being handled by the FBI and the Department of Justice; with recent interviews and a possible grand jury indicating the probe is nowhere near ending.
Sen. Sanders categorically denies the charges, saying his wife is the “most honest” person he’s ever met, and calling the allegations a political hit-job to damage his prospects in the 2020 presidential race.
OUCH: Bernie BLASTS DEMS, Says Party Needs 'Fundamental Changes'
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders unloaded on the Democratic National Committee on Monday, saying the party needs to become “more transparent” and needs to make “fundamental changes” before it looks to the 2018 midterm elections and beyond.
The socialist Senator was speaking with CBS News’ ‘Face the Nation’ when he was asked to weigh-in on former DNC chief Donna Brazile’s incendiary revelation that Hillary Clinton had “secretly taken over” the Democratic Party nearly a year before securing the nomination.
“Well, it may irritate them, but it does not irritate the American people,” Sanders said. “Look, one of the problems facing the Democratic Party is that it has got to open up its doors.”
“In my view, the Democratic Party needs to make fundamental changes. We need to do away with the extraordinary number of super delegates that now exist in the presidential nominating process. [They have] got to do away with closed primaries, got to reform the caucus system to allow everybody to vote, and you need more transparency at the DNC,” he added.
Sanders comments come a week after Donna Brazile’s bombshell exposé provided new details on how the Clinton campaign colluded with the Democratic National Committee to steal the 2016 primary from Bernie Sanders.
