Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday and was questioned by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on the fentanyl crisis killing millions of Americans.
“It’s a horrible epidemic, but it’s an epidemic that’s been unleashed on purpose by the Sinaloa and the new generation Jalisco cartels,” Garland said.
Graham asked Garland if Mexico was “helping us effectively with our fentanyl crisis?”
“They are helping us, but they could do much more. There’s no question about that,” Garland responded.
