VEEP IMPACT: CNN Poll Has Harris at 32% Approval, 79% Say Things Going Badly

The Biden Administration is taking a pounding in the polls.

According to a recent survey conducted by CNN, the public’s outlook on the state of the country is the worst it’s been since 2009 —the economic outlook is the worst it’s been since 2011. 70% of Americans say Joe is focusing on the wrong issues.

Not surprisingly, Biden and Harris are tanking when it comes to favorability, with members of their own party beginning to abandon them.

From CNN:

Biden’s approval rating in the poll stands at 38%, with 62% disapproving. His approval ratings for handling the economy (30%) and inflation (25%) are notably lower. Rising costs are a primary economic pressure for most Americans: 75% call inflation and the cost of living the most important economic problem facing their family. Last summer, that figure stood at 43%.

Few Americans who approve of Biden’s overall performance say they do so strongly. Overall, just 12% strongly approve of the way Biden is handling the presidency compared with 43% who say they strongly disapprove of his work.

The survey also suggests both the President’s and vice president’s personal favorability has taken a hit. A year and a half ago, just before their inauguration, 59% held a favorable opinion of Biden and 51% had a favorable view of Kamala Harris. Now, those figures stand at 36% and 32% respectively. Meanwhile, the public’s view of first lady Jill Biden is mixed: 34% have a favorable opinion, 29% unfavorable and 37% are unsure how they feel about her.

The mainstream media is finding it harder to cover for Biden as the negative polls keep piling up; “A new CNN poll finds widespread dissatisfaction with President Biden and the US economy. The public’s outlook on the state of the country is the worst it’s been since 2009, the survey finds,” CNN tweeted.
