UPDATE: Jerrold Nadler ‘OK’ After Health Scare in NYC, Taken to Local Hospital

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.24.19

Chair of the House Judiciary Committee Jerrold Nadler is reportedly ‘OK’ Friday after nearly fainting at a press conference alongside New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“Appreciate everyone’s concern. Was very warm in the room this morning, was obviously dehydrated and felt a bit ill. Glad to receive fluids and am feeling much better. Thank you for your thoughts,” posted Nadler on social media following the incident.

“Scary moment at this press conference now, @RepJerryNadler appears to be dehydrated, perhaps low sugar as the conference was underway. They are clearing the room so he can get medical assistance. He’s conscious, drinking water and has just been fed an orange,” added a reporter from NY1.

Fox News is told the congressman was being taken to a hospital in an ambulance.

“He is now responsive and receiving a check-up,” a spokesman told Fox News.

The incident comes as Nadler continues to demand Attorney General William Barr appear before his committee over Robert Mueller’s Russia report.

“The Trump administration, and its enablers, may brazenly try to cover up the misdeeds uncovered by the special counsel,” said chair Jerrold Nadler, “but on this committee we will represent the American people and ensure the truth is known.”

“Our fight is not just about the Mueller report — although we must have access to the Mueller report,” Nadler said. “Our fight is about defending the rights of Congress, as an independent branch, to hold the president accountable.”

“We will have no choice but to move quickly to hold the attorney general in contempt if he stalls or fails to negotiate in good faith,” Nadler added. “But the attorney general must make a choice. Every one of us must make the same choice. That choice is now an obligation of our office.”

“During one point in the press conference, held to discuss expanding school zone cameras, you can hear de Blasio offering water to Nadler and telling him that he looked a little dehydrated,” adds the article. “When de Blasio asks Nadler if he was OK, Nadler can be heard responding with a faint ‘no’ before putting his hand over his face.”
