Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to critics on social media Wednesday who accused the far-left politician of selling overpriced merchandise on her website; saying she refuses to use “slave-wage labor” to drive down costs.

“Republicans are freaking out bc we don’t use slave-wage labor for merch that funds grassroots organizing. But what’s the difference between Trump’s merch and ours? Ours is made in the US,” posted AOC on Twitter.


“Oh, and by the way: Tax the Rich,” she added.

Democratic Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sounded more like a staunch capitalist this week when she started accepting pre-orders for her “Tax the Rich” sweatshirts at nearly $60 a pop.

“Preorders are open now :),” posted AOC on her Twitter account. “As always, made in the US with dignified, union jobs paying living wages.”

Other items include shirts promoting the Green New Deal and “Drink Water and Don’t Be Racist.”

Embattled Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez escalated her war-of-words with the NY Post this week; supporting a national boycott against her hometown paper after they posted a fierce response to Rep. Ilhan Omar’s 9/11 remarks.

“While President Trump repeatedly attacks the New York Times and other purveyors of ‘fake news,’ New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is targeting her own media foe: the New York Post,” reports Yahoo News.

“In a Sunday interview with the Yahoo News podcast ‘Skullduggery,’ the freshman New York congresswoman explained why she is endorsing a boycott of the paper organized by local Yemeni-American bodega owners, calling the Post’s attack on her friend Rep. Ilhan Omar ‘beyond the pale,’” adds the author.
