UPDATE: 13-Year-Old Boy Hid Siblings in Bushes During Cartel Massacre, 8-Month-Old Twins Among Victims

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.05.19

At least three women and six children were murdered in Northern Mexico Tuesday morning when their caravan was ambushed by a drug cartel; killing the US citizens now identified with ages ranging from 8-months-old to 43-years-old.

“They were ambushed by the Mexican cartels; shot, burned, and murdered in cold blood. These were innocent civilians, American citizens simply trying to live peaceful lives,” relative Kendra Lee Miller said in a lengthy Facebook post Tuesday morning.

“A quick-thinking 13-year-old boy hid his bleeding siblings in the bushes and a mother saved her 7-month-old baby before she was killed, according to a relative of those murdered in Mexico during the horrific cartel massacre of U.S. citizens Monday,” reports Fox News.

President Trump called for a “war” against the cartels shortly after the deadly rampage.

“A wonderful family and friends from Utah got caught between two vicious drug cartels, who were shooting at each other, with the result being many great American people killed, including young children, and some missing. If Mexico needs or requests help in cleaning out these monsters, the United States stands ready, willing & able to get involved and do the job quickly and effectively. The great new President of Mexico has made this a big issue, but the cartels have become so large and powerful that you sometimes need an army to defeat an army!” posted the President on social media.

“This is the time for Mexico, with the help of the United States, to wage WAR on the drug cartels and wipe them off the face of the earth. We merely await a call from your great new president!” he added.

DEVELOPING: Mexican Cartel Massacre Leaves 9 Americans Dead, Including 6 Children

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.05.19

A cartel shootout in northern Mexico left at least 9 Americans dead -including six children- when a motorcade from a Mormon-offshoot community was ambushed in broad daylight.

“At least six children and three women living in a faith-based community of U.S. citizens in Mexico were shot to death Monday in the northern part of the country, and six more children were wounded and one missing after their convoy came under fire during a brazen daylight ambush believed to have been carried out by gunmen affiliated with the cartels,” reports Fox News.

“Relatives said the victims live in the La Mora religious community in northern Mexico, a decades-old settlement in Sonora state founded as part of an offshoot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around 70 miles south of Douglas, Arizona. They said the group was attacked while traveling in a convoy of three SUVs. Durazo said the gunmen may have mistaken the SUV convoy for rival gangs,” adds Fox.

According to family members, the cartel kidnapped members of the motorcade following the shootout.

HOMELAND SECURITY: US ‘Closely Monitoring’ Migrant Caravan for Cartels, Gang Members

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.22.18

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Sunday that US officials are  “closely monitoring” the growing migrant caravan for gang members and drug cartels as it approaches the United States’ southern border with Mexico.

DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen released a statement over the weekend warning Americans of the threat posed by “transnational criminal organizations” that may seek to infiltrate the massive group of undocumented workers from Central America.

“While we closely monitor the caravan crisis, we must remain mindful of the transnational criminal organizations and other criminals that prey on the vulnerabilities of those undertaking the irregular migration journey,” Nielsen said in a statement.

“We shall work with our partners in the region to investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law all who seek to encourage and profit from irregular migration,” she added.

The ‘migrant caravan’ is now estimated at 7,000 people and is expected to reach the United States border within days.
