While speaking with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart over the weekend, President Biden addressed the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. Biden made a gaffe while telling a story about addressing the Israeli war cabinet.
“I sat with the war cabinet and I said look ‘don’t make the mistake America made.’ America made a mistake. We went after bin Laden until we got him. But we shouldn’t have gone into Ukraine. Excuse me, we shouldn’t have gone into, um, the whole thing in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
“It caused more problems than it raised…uh…that it cured.”
Steve Guest, a former communications staffer for Ted Cruz shared the clip on X, noting that Biden also seems to be suggesting America shouldn’t have gone into Afghanistan after 9/11/
“WATCH: Joe Biden says the U.S. should not have gone into Afghanistan after Al Qaeda murdered nearly 3,000 Americans on 9/11,” Guest said.
