The U.S. military continues to protect the country from deadly drug traffickers.

Five alleged “narco-terrorists” were killed Thursday after U.S. forces struck two drug-smuggling vessels operating along known trafficking routes, according to U.S. Southern Command.

The strikes bring the total to at least 26 U.S. military operations in the Pacific and Caribbean since early September, with at least 104 alleged narco-terrorists killed, according to The Hill.

Southern Command confirmed the latest action in a post on X.

“On Dec. 18, at the direction of @SecWar Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted lethal kinetic strikes on two vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations in international waters,” the command said.

U.S. officials said intelligence confirmed the boats were actively involved in narco-trafficking operations, moving along well-known smuggling corridors in the eastern Pacific.

“A total of five male narco-terrorists were killed during these actions — three in the first vessel and two in the second vessel,” Southern Command said. “No U.S. military forces were harmed.”
