Well, if there was any doubt former Twitter heads were lovers of all things woke…
New Twitter CEO Elon Musk shared a video on Tuesday showing a closet filled with #StayWoke t-shirts that he discovered at Twitter HQ —hundreds of shirts with the slogan available in multiple colors.
Musk seemingly finds the whole thing hilarious.
According to Not The Bee, “The phrase ‘Stay Woke’ was mainstreamed after the Ferguson riots in 2014, when the media ran with the lie that black teen Michael Brown said ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ before he was brutally murdered by a white cop.”
“The truth, of course, is that Brown was attacking the officer and never said those words, but the word ‘woke’ was used as a badge of honor for the new cult that wanted to use Brown’s death as a flashpoint to give America a communist makeover.”
In a reply to his own Tweet, Musk linked to the following: DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE REPORT REGARDING THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE SHOOTING DEATH OF MICHAEL BROWN BY FERGUSON, MISSOURI POLICE OFFICER DARREN WILSON.
