President Trump slammed Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Wednesday, calling-out the liberal legislator for comments he made in 2009 when he claimed “illegal aliens” should not be treated the same as people who came to the United States legally.
“’People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the U.S. legally.’ Chuck Schumer in 2009, before he went left and haywire!” tweeted the President.

The President’s comments come as Schumer and other Democrats focus on immigration heading into the highly contested 2018 midterms, with some left-wing senators calling for the abolishment of ICE throughout the country.
CHUCK'S CHALLENGE: Schumer Reportedly Asked Trump to Nominate OBAMA’S COURT PICK
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reportedly asked President Trump to nominate Barack Obama’s Supreme Court pick this week; urging the Commander-in-Chief to put forward Merrick Garland to replace outgoing Justice Anthony Kennedy.
According to the Hill, Schumer made the request in private; asking Trump to advance Garland after his nomination process stalled in 2016.
“A person familiar with the conversation said on Thursday that Schumer told Trump in a phone call that lasted less than five minutes on Tuesday that the move would help unify the country,” writes the Hill.
The Democratic leader penned an editorial in the New York Times in recent days, urging the President to pick a candidate that would uphold key court decision surrounding abortion and Obamacare.
“If you do not want a Supreme Court Justice who will overturn Roe v. Wade and undo the Affordable Care Act, tell your senators they should not vote for a candidate from Mr. Trump’s preordained list,” wrote Schumer.
DEMOCRAT DELUSION: Schumer Calls Big Bonuses 'CRUMBS' for Working Families
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer doubled-down on Democratic talking points regarding the recently passed GOP tax cuts on Friday; echoing House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s non-stop insistence that increased wages and big bonuses were simply “pathetic crumbs” given to American workers.
Schumer was speaking on the Senate floor when he predictably attacked the GOP-led tax overhaul, saying middle-class Americans were “getting crumbs” while large companies and corporations were getting “nice fat pieces of pie.”
“When the American people learn that some of them are not getting anything, some of them are getting raises, and the rest are getting crumbs; and big corporations and wealthy individuals are getting nice, fat pieces of pie… they’re going to be outraged,” said Schumer. “They are already.”
The Minority Leader’s comments come as the nation’s largest corporations announce their plans to reinvest in the United States and pay out big bonuses and higher wages to American-based workers.
This week, Home Depot joined AT&T, Visa, Walmart, American Airlines, Disney, and other companies pledging to expand benefits and raise earnings after President Trump signed the sweeping overhaul of the nation’s outdated tax code into law.
