President Trump stopped to speak with the press on the South Lawn of the White House on Friday before boarding Marine One with his granddaughter, Kai.
Trump was asked if he was concerned that a Democrat president would go after his FBI Director, Kash Patel, in the future.
“Are you worried now that the next time there’s a Democratic president, they will indict your FBI director or people in your administration?” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked.
“Well, that’s what they tried to do, right? They did it with me for four years; they went after me,” Trump said, adding, “It began before I got to office… I started hearing rumors about Russia. I said, ‘What the hell do I have to do with Russia? Nothing.'”
Trump also stressed that Comey’s indictment was about “justice,” not revenge.

Trump also suspects there will be other indictments.
“There will be others. They’re corrupt. These were corrupt, radical Democrats. Comey was essentially a Democrat — he’s worse than a Democrat. I would say the Democrats are better than Comey. Look, there will be others. That’s my opinion,” Trump’s aide.
“They weaponized the Justice Department like nobody in history…you can’t let this happen in a country,” Trump added.
