TRUMP RX LAUNCHES: White House Says Major Pharma Deals Will Deliver Affordable Drug Pricing

President Donald Trump on Thursday formally launched TrumpRx.gov, a federal direct-to-consumer medication website the White House says will offer steep discounts on dozens of high-priced prescription drugs, framing the rollout as the consumer-facing centerpiece of the administration’s Most-Favored Nation (MFN) drug pricing push.

“America was being overcharged for medicine. The same drugs, made in the same factories, at the same dosages, are costing Americans up to 1,000% more than in any other country,” the live TrumpRx site reads. “This is unacceptable.”

“Starting tonight, dozens of the most commonly used prescription drugs will be available at dramatic discounts for all consumers throughout our new website, it’s called TrumpRx.gov,” the president announced at Thursday’s launch.

“For years, politicians from both parties have promised to bring down prescription drug prices and make health care more affordable, but they all failed. It was all words, as usual,” he added. “But I’m actually getting it done; it is done, actually.”

At launch, the platform is built around manufacturer-linked discount pathways — including printable or downloadable coupons that can be used at pharmacies — rather than acting as an insurer or pharmacy benefit manager, according to the White House and multiple reports.

The White House said Trump negotiated MFN pricing deals with major manufacturers — including AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, EMD Serono, Novo Nordisk, and Pfizer — and that additional drugs will be added as more companies sign on.

A White House fact sheet circulated to the media listed examples of the administration’s claimed price drops through the TrumpRx channel, including:
• Ozempic and injectable Wegovy falling from $1,028 and $1,349 per month to an average of $350 and as low as $199 depending on dosage;
• oral Wegovy as low as $149;
• Zepbound averaging $346 and as low as $299;
• insulin lispro as low as $25 per month; and other cuts across fertility, asthma/COPD, dermatitis, and menopause medications
