President Donald Trump broke his silence Thursday night after Israel bombed Iran, speaking first to Fox News and then posting a series of statements on TRUTH Social.
“Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb and we are hoping to get back to the negotiating table. We will see. There are several people in leadership that will not be coming back,” Trump told Fox News, adding that the United States would defend itself and Israel if Iran strikes back.

Trump proceeded to release several statements on TRUTH Social, encouraging Iran to make a deal before “there’s nothing left.”
“Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen,” Trump wrote of the nuclear deal his administration tried to negotiate with Iran. “They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse! There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end.”
“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. God Bless You All!” Trump added.
Trump added: “Two months ago I gave Iran a 60 day ultimatum to “make a deal.” They should have done it! Today is day 61. I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance!”
Trump also spoke with ABC News Friday morning about the strikes, saying, “I think it’s been excellent. We gave them a chance and they didn’t take it. They got hit hard, very hard. They got hit about as hard as you’re going to get hit. And there’s more to come. a lot more.”
