President Trump weighed-in Thursday on the escalating scandal regarding political bias at the DOJ during the 2016 race for the White House; saying “you’re very lucky I was the President during this scam.”
“It should never happen to a president again. You’re just lucky I happened to be the president because a lot of other presidents would have reacted much differently than I reacted. You’re very lucky I was the president during this scam,” said the President.

“I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal. Especially the generation that I grew up in… the Vietnam War period, people were concerned about spying on anti-war people and so forth by the government,” said Barr.
“I think it’s important to look at that… I think spying did occur,” he added.

DEM DEMANDS: Schumer Says Barr MUST RETRACT ‘Spy’ Statement, Calls Comments ‘Conspiracy Theory’
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Attorney General “must retract” his recent comments regarding US officials “spying” on the Trump campaign Wednesday evening; calling his statement a “conspiracy theory.”
“AG Barr admitted he had no evidence to support his claim that spying on the Trump campaign ‘did occur.’ AG Barr must retract his statement immediately or produce specific evidence to back it up. Perpetuating conspiracy theories is beneath the office of the Attorney General,” posted Schumer on social media.
