TRUMP ON 2020 CHALLENGERS: ‘I Should Be Able to Take Them’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.28.19

President Trump weighed-in on the 2020 general election Tuesday night; labeling his main primary opponents “the three stooges” and saying he “should be able to take them” in the months ahead.

“Can you believe it? I’m at 94% approval in the Republican Party, and have Three Stooges running against me. One is ‘Mr. Appalachian Trail’ who was actually in Argentina for bad reasons… Another is a one-time BAD Congressman from Illinois who lost in his second term by a landslide, then failed in radio. The third is a man who couldn’t stand up straight while receiving an award. I should be able to take them!” posted Trump on Twitter.

A new national poll conducted in recent days show the Democratic primary quickly becoming a three-way race, with Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren within a single point of each other.

“Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and former Vice President Joe Biden are currently bunched together in the national Democratic presidential preference contest. Movement in the latest Monmouth University Poll – positive for Warren and Sanders, negative for Biden – suggests the 2020 presidential nomination process may be entering a volatile stage.  The poll results also suggest that liberal voters are starting to take a closer look at a wider range of candidates, while moderates are focusing on those with the highest name recognition,” writes the survey from Monmouth University.

“The poll finds a virtual three-way tie among Sanders (20%), Warren (20%), and Biden (19%) in the presidential nomination preferences of registered Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters across the country. Compared to Monmouth’s June poll, these results represent an increase in support for both Sanders (up from 14%) and Warren (up from 15%), and a significant drop for Biden (down from 32%),” adds the report.

Biden’s poll numbers have dropped in recent weeks after a series of speaking gaffes on the campaign trail.

“I want to be clear, I’m not going nuts,” Biden said on Friday. “I’m not sure whether it was the medical school or where the hell I spoke. But it was on the campus.”

2020 VISION: Pete Buttigieg Claims ‘Capitalism Has Let A Lot of People Down’ Across America

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.16.19

South Bend, Indiana Mayor and rising Democratic star Pete Buttigieg slammed American-style capitalism Tuesday; saying he believes the current system “has let a lot of people down” across the country.

“I think the reason we’re having this argument over socialism and capitalism is that capitalism has let a lot of people down,” the mayor told CNN.

“I would say the reverse ought to be true — that at the end of the day, we prioritize democracy,” he added. “And having that framework of a rule of law, of fairness, is actually what it takes for markets to work.”

Buttigieg stunned political insiders in recent days when new polling data showed he had risen to third place among national Democratic candidates; trailing former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

APOCALYPSE NOW: Bernie Says ‘Climate Change’ Bigger Threat to Americans than ‘ISIS or al Qaeda’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.12.19

2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders told a crowd of supporters in Iowa Sunday the changing climate poses a bigger threat to Americans than international terrorism and jihadi ideology.

“Four years ago, I came here to Iowa and I was asked, ‘What’s the major national security issue we face? ISIS or al Qaeda?’ The answer that I gave in terms of national security is climate change,” Sanders told the crowd.

Sanders continued his calls for free college and universities across the USA this week; admitting the proposal may “cost a little bit of money” but ultimately asking, “So what?”

“One of the things that we’ve got to just keep doing is thinking big and not small… There’s no reason why we don’t make these colleges and universities tuition-free. Costs a little bit of money, but so what?” Sanders told a crowd of supporters.

Sanders published a list of “rights” all Americans are entitled to “regardless of income” over the weekend; demanding “decent jobs,” free healthcare, and affordable housing for everyone living in the United States.

“Every American, regardless of income, is entitled to:

The right to a decent job that pays a living wage.
The right to quality health care.
The right to a complete education.
The right to affordable housing.
The right to a clean environment.
The right to a secure retirement,” posted Sanders on social media.

Recent polling from the key primary state of New Hampshire may spell big trouble for Joe Biden, with Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren making major gains months before voters head to the polls.

According to the latest survey from Suffolk University-Boston Globe, Biden leads the Democratic field with 21%, followed by Sanders at 17% and Warren at 14%.

That’s a 5% bump for both candidates since the second round of presidential debates.
