President Trump’s approval rating continues to inch up despite the mainstream media’s non-stop coverage of Robert Mueller’s never-ending Russia investigation; hitting the 50% mark in recent polling.
The new survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports shows the President’s approval rating rising to 50%, with 33% strongly approving of his job performance and 49% disapproving.
The poll also shows that 60% of GOP voters believe “Republicans in Congress have lost touch” with party members and over 50% support Trump’s decision to relocate the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
“Can you believe that with all of the made up, unsourced stories I get from the Fake News Media, together with the $10,000,000 Russian Witch Hunt (there is no Collusion), I now have my best Poll Numbers in a year. Much of the Media may be corrupt, but the People truly get it!” Trump tweeted earlier this week.
The President’s approval comes as Trump racks up big wins on Iran, Israel, North Korea, and a strong US economy.
TRUMP BUMP: President’s Approval Rating Reaches 11 MONTH HIGH
President Trump’s approval rating reached an 11-month high this week; smashing expectations after a string of positive reports on the US economy, the Iran nuclear deal, and North Korean diplomacy.
According to a newly released survey from left-leaning Gallup, likely voters gave the President a 42% approval rating, up from 38% just a week before.
“The data also indicated that the gap between those who said they approved of Trump and those who said they disapproved had narrowed over the past year,” writes the Hill.
The President’s stronger-than-expected polling comes after weeks of successes both at home and abroad; including meetings with the leaders of France and Germany, a diplomatic breakthrough in North Korea, and strong economic forecasts.
TRUMP BUMP: The President's Approval HOLDS STEADY Despite Media Assault
Despite weeks of non-stop press coverage surrounding President Trump’s alleged “collusion” with Russian officials, new polling shows the Commander-in-Chief’s approval rating hovering at a healthy 50%.
“The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove,” writes Rasmussen.
President Obama garnered a 47% approval rating at the same point in his presidency.
The President’s support comes as strong economic data suggests a soaring US economy, while Trump also earned high praise for his decisive strike against Syria following a deadly chemical weapons attack.
The numbers also raise serious questions for Democrats heading into the 2018 midterms, with Republicans erasing large liberal gains in recent weeks as both parties struggle for control of Congress.
