President Trump spoke publicly Friday morning regarding the recent arrest of a suspect behind the “terrorizing” string of “suspicious packages” sent to prominent Democrats; saying political violence has absolutely “no place in our country.”

“I am pleased to inform you that law enforcement has apprehended the suspect and taken him into custody. We’ve carried out a far-reaching federal, state, and local investigation to find the person or persons responsible for these events,” said Trump.
“These terrorizing acts are despicable and have no place in our country. I’ve instructed authorities to spare no resource or expense in finding those responsible and bringing them to swift and certain justice,” he added.

DEVELOPING: ‘Suspicious Packages’ Sent to Obamas, Clintons, CNN Evacuated
The Secret Service “intercepted” two “potential explosive devices” sent to former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Wednesday, as another “suspicious package” prompted the evacuation of CNN’s New York offices.
The flurry of dangerous devices comes as local police report an additional package was sent to Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

“We condemn the attempted violent attacks recently made against President Obama, President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and other public figures. These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards,” said White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
