posted by Hannity Staff - 7.29.20

Attorney General Bill Barr squared-off with House Democrats Tuesday during his hearing on Capitol Hill; breaking out in laughter at one point as a lawmaker asked an incomprehensible question over the Department of Justice’s “policy” towards protests.

“You’re aware of your Department’s policy, are you not?” asked the Congressman.

“What policy?” Barr responded.

“The one I, just, ummm, promoted, provided to you…” said Rep. Dean.

“What does it say? What’s the policy?” fired-back the Attorney General.

“Well, I showed it to you.” Dean concluded.

‘SUMMER OF LOVE!’ Seattle Mayor Says ‘Zone’ Just a ‘Gathering Place for the Community’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.18.20

Embattled Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan doubled-down on her support for the ‘Autonomous Zone’ -or CHOP- this week; calling the demonstrations a “gathering place for the community.”

“The #CHOP has emerged as a gathering place for community to demand change of their local, state, and federal government. At the @CityofSeattle, we’ve made a few changes to facilitate first amendment activities while also maintaining safety and access for all of our residents,” posted Durkan on social media.

Seattle Police Officers issued new guidelines surrounding the city’s “autonomous zone” Wednesday; saying they will only enter the area to respond to “significant life-safety issues.”

“Minor changes to the protest zone will implement safer and sturdier barriers to protect individuals in this area, allow traffic to move throughout the Capitol Hill neighborhood, ease access for residents of apartment building in the surrounding areas, and help local businesses manage deliveries and logistics,” the mayor’s office said. “Additionally all plans have been crafted with the goal of allowing access for emergency personnel including fire trucks.”

“The Seattle Police Department’s definition of life-safety issues may include an active shooter incident, an assault, a structure fire, significant medical emergency (i.e. heart attack, stroke, trauma) and other incidents that threaten a person’s life safety,” the office of Mayor Jenny Durkan said on Tuesday.

“The #CHOP has emerged as a gathering place for community to demand change of their local, state, and federal government. At the @CityofSeattle, we’ve made a few changes to facilitate first amendment activities while also maintaining safety and access for all of our residents,” she added.
