Progressive activist and actor Mark Ruffalo apologized on social media late Monday night after he accused the Israeli government of committing a “genocide” of Palestinians in Gaza.
I have reflected & wanted to apologize for posts during the recent Israel/Hamas fighting that suggested Israel is committing “genocide”. It’s not accurate, it’s inflammatory, disrespectful & is being used to justify antisemitism here & abroad. Now is the time to avoid hyperbole.

“1500 Palestinians face expulsion in #Jerusalem. 200 protesters have been injured. 9 children have been killed,” he wrote on May 11. “Sanctions on South Africa helped free its black people – it’s time for sanctions on Israel to free Palestinians. Join the call. #SheikhJarrah.”
“Dear people, despite our frustration over the fighting in Gaza and our anger, that is no excuse to attack or intimidate innocent people,” he wrote on May 19. “Assaults of Jewish people or attacks on others won’t bring justice to anyone, only perpetuate more injustice and hate.”

AND THE OSCAR GOES TO… Hollywood Elites for NOT WATCHING Trump’s Address
Despite their non-stop calls for the President’s impeachment over his “racist” and “democracy destroying” behavior, Hollywood celebrities and liberal elites couldn’t even be bothered to tune-in to Trump’s primetime address to the American people.
The A-list celebrities announced their “resistance” on social media as the President spoke to both Houses of Congress, saying #ImNotWatching and claiming they have “better things to do” than listen to their Commander-in-Chief announce his vision for 2018 and beyond.
I already know the state of the union-ain't good. Was pretty damn good about a year and a half ago.

I tried. I listened but the amount of BS and stunts and questions raised that will never be answered made me throw my remote and now I am listening to Tom Petty and am a better American for it. #SOTU

The Hollywood boycott comes days after the left-wing activists held their own ‘People’s State of the Union’ featuring actor Mark Ruffalo, filmmaker Michael Moore, and others.
“We’re going to set our sights to continue that work in the next year, and strengthen our bonds and commitments to each other, for long after the Trump era comes to its rightful end,” said Ruffalo. “We ain’t stopping with Trump, OK?”
HOLLYWEIRD: Anti-Trump Celebrities HOST COUNTER State of the Union
Hollywood celebrities and liberal elites turned out for a counter State of the Union Monday evening, offering a blistering “response” to the President’s joint address to Congress and the American people one day before he delivers the speech.
According to Fox News, the star-studded event -dubbed the People’s State of the Union- was hosted by radical left-wing actor Mark Ruffalo, who called for all anti-Trump activists to join the “resistance” movement against the President’s “racist” agenda.
“We’re going to set our sights to continue that work in the next year, and strengthen our bonds and commitments to each other, for long after the Trump era comes to its rightful end,” said Ruffalo. “We ain’t stopping with Trump, OK?”
Hollywood documentarian Michael Moore also slammed Trump and his supporters, saying “We must remove and replace the system and the culture that gave us Trump in the first place […] We must also cleanse our American soul of our white male privilege.”
The three-hour-long anti-Trump event was hosted by far-left organizations such as Planned Parenthood and the Women’s March.
