Homan is heated.
Border Czar Tom Homan has been making media rounds this week, blasting a new anti-ICE app that tracks agents and alerts illegal aliens to their presence.
CNN Business writer Clare Duffy detailed how users of the app can anonymously pin the location of ICE agents within five miles of them and publicly share specific details about the agents, such as their appearances and vehicles.
“It’s simply disgusting and any network that covers that is disgusting as well,” Homan told Fox News guest host Lawrence Jones. “So I’m hoping [the Department of Justice] steps in here and see if [the app] cross[es] that line, impeding federal law enforcement officers. Look, Lawrence, you and I have talked about this. Assaults against law enforcement officers are up 500%, now you’ve got an app that’s going to tell where ICE operations are going to be. It’s only a matter of time before ICE agents are ambushed by some nut, like what happened in [Los Angeles] [where they’re] throwing a Molotov cocktail [and] throwing bricks at these officers. This is just disgusting at every level.”

Homan provided a similar take on Fox Business Tuesday morning, unloading on CNN for promoting an app that puts ICE Agents in danger:
“It ANGERS me…I just can’t believe we’re in a place where a TV network like CNN is talking about this app and educating people on the existence of this app.”
“This app is going to give the bad guy heads up that we’re coming, which means more bad guys are going to escape arrest, which makes this country less safe, which is a public safety issue.”
“And on top of that, it’s only a matter of time for a bad guy, like someone who threw a Molotov cocktail at officers in LA… the assault against ICE officers up over 500%… it’s a matter of time for someone to use the app and ambush ICE officers.”
“This is something we cannot tolerate, we can’t stand for, so we’re calling them out. And I’m begging the Department of Justice to look into this and hold people accountable.”
