During Monday’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reminded reporters in the room that Border Czar Tom Homan was once awarded a medal by Barack Obama.
(In case there was any doubt over his ability to do the job.)
Homan is currently being dispatched to Minnesota as President Trump and Governor Tim Walz work towards bringing down the temperature after a number of deadly ICE shootings.
“This is a Washington Post headline from nine years ago: ‘Meet the Man the White House Has Honored for Deporting Illegal Immigrants.’ I would remind everyone in this room that it was former President Barack Hussein Obama who awarded a medal to Mr. Homan,” Leavitt said.
