A New York appeals court on Thursday overturned a $464 million judgment against President Donald Trump in a civil fraud case.
The Appellate Division, First Department, vacated the ruling that found Trump had inflated his net worth to obtain favorable loan and insurance terms.
The February 2024 decision by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron would have required Trump to pay more than $500 million, including over $100 million in interest.
