'TIME FOR NEW BLOOD IN D.C.': Watch Katie Britt Talk Historic Win, Protecting Children from Indoctrination

Alabama Senator-elect Katie Britt stopped by Fox News to discuss her recent historic win in Alabama; Britt is the first woman elected Senator in the Cotton State. She tells Fox News “it’s time for new blood” in Washington D.C.

Britt won by more than 35 points.

“It is surreal,” Britt says. “To be fighting for the American people is exciting and humbling.”

“We used a grassroots strategy where went to every single county in our state…we listened to voters, we didn’t lecture them…people believe it’s time for new blood —fresh blood —in Washington,” Britt continues.

The Senator-elect also spoke about the challenge of having school-aged children in a woke education climate.

“The Republican Party is the party of parents. We’re the party of hard-working Americans…I’m listening to parents and experiencing it myself…we want our children educated, not indoctrinated.”

Britt thanked her supporters following her historic win last week.

“I don’t take any of these things for granted and the gravity of all of it is not lost on me,” Britt said. “I am humbled, I am honored and grateful. I want you to know I understand what a tremendous responsibility these milestones carry. And I do not take that lightly. But the one that matters the most to me is the first that we started this campaign with. It was our motto from the start: Alabama first.”
