THIS IS REAL: AOC Fumes at ‘Bootstrap’ Expression, Says It’s Actually ‘Impossible to Lift Yourself Up With Shoelaces’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.06.20

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left millions of television viewers scratching their heads this week; bizarrely asserting that it’s “impossible” for human beings to “lift themselves up by their shoelaces.”

“It’s a physical impossibility to lift yourself up by a bootstrap, by your shoelaces? It’s physically impossible. The whole thing is a joke,” said Ocasio-Cortez at the US Capitol.

Original Story: May 7, 2019

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to raise eyebrows across the country this week; posting a bizarre video where she discovers her apartment’s “terrifying” garbage disposal.

“I am told this is a garbage disposal. I’ve never seen a garbage disposal, I’ve never had one in any place I’ve ever lived. It is terrifying, I don’t know what to use it for, or what its purpose is. Like, food scraps? Is this environmentally sound? I don’t know,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

The Congresswoman’s comments come days after she was amazed by her own community garden; saying that “food comes from the dirt” like “magic.”

NOT A DRILL: Ocasio-Cortez Says ‘Growing Cauliflower’ a ‘Colonial Approach’ to Gardening

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.20.19

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -yet again- used her Bronx community garden to weigh-in on social justice this week; saying growing specific vegetables like cauliflower is a “colonial approach to environmentalism.

“What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community. It’s so important,” said Cortez.

“So that’s really how you do it right. That is such a core component of the Green New Deal is having all of these projects make sense in a cultural context, and it’s an area that we get the most pushback on because people say, ‘Why do you need to do that? That’s too hard,’” she added.

“But when you really think about it — when someone says that it’s ‘too hard’ to do a green space that grows Yucca instead of, I don’t know, cauliflower or something — what you’re doing is that you’re taking a colonial approach to environmentalism, and that is why a lot of communities of color get resistant to certain environmentalist movements because they come with the colonial lens on them,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Ocasio-Cortez made similar comments just weeks ago when she claimed “food coming from dirt” was “magic.”

“Look! Oh my god, look at this! I am shook. Honestly, gardening, food that comes out of dirt, it’s like magic. The tomatoes died though… This is so exciting!” said Ocasio-Cortez in her video.

The recently sworn-in representative found herself in hot water last month after the prolific Twitter-user failed to mention the devastating series of bombings that rocked Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
