THE CLEAN UP CALL: What The White House Said to Peter Doocy After Joe Snapped [DETAILS]

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.11.23

Following comments on green energy and Bidenomics earlier this week, Fox News’ Peter Doocy had an awkward exchange with President Biden that the White House had to clean up with a phone call.

“There’s this testimony now where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speakerphone a lot with them talking business. What-” Doocy said to Biden on Wednesday.

Biden claimed that he “never talked business with anybody” and knew Doocy would “have a lousy question.” When asked why the question was not acceptable Biden claimed, “Because it’s not true,” and walked away from the reporter.

But that’s only the first part of the story. Now we know the White House called Doocy afterward.

According to The Daily Wire, “But George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said what was truly telling about that exchange was what the White House did immediately afterward.”

“Doocy said that the White House called him as soon as he made it to his car to refute the specifics of the allegations on discussing business. The use of White House staff to repeat these positions could magnify the problems for Biden,” Turley said.

From The Daily Wire:

Turley explained in a column linked in his X post that Biden’s continued insistence that he did not talk to Hunter about business or have any knowledge about his foreign business dealings — despite mounting evidence to the contrary — could prove dangerous for him if Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith continues down his current path.

The upshot, Turley said, was that if former President Donald Trump could be prosecuted for “knowingly lying” about whether or not he had won the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden could potentially be impeached for “knowingly lying” about Hunter’s foreign business dealings.
